Celine Chat is a surfer and artist from France.
Since 1996, she is travelling all over the world in quest of good waves to surf, different cultures to find out and new persons to meet.

 All those discovery and experiences compose her inspiration. From her long journey of several months, she came back with series of paintings, each time different which reflect her lifestyle as well as the country she was living in.

Since 2 years, she is living in Guadeloupe in the French West Indies.

Her unique and creative artwork is exhibit in France, West Indies, Brazil, where she was invite, as the only European artist, at the Alma Surf International Surf Culture Festival in Sao Paulo and Rio and in United States where her artwork is exhibit in California all through summer 08 at the International surfing Museum of Huntington Beach.

Celine Chat est artiste et surfeuse. A 32 ans, cette artiste peintre, née dans le Sud de la France, a déjà posé son chevalet sur les 5 continents. Deouis 1996, elle voyage dans le monde entier en quête de bonnes vagues à surfer, de differentes cultures et nouvelles personnes à découvrir. Toutes ces expériences composent son inspiration.

Construit comme un carnet de voyage, son œuvre se compose de séries de peintures ensoleillées, largement  inspirées de son style de vie nomade et du pays où elle a vécu.

Le Surf, qu’elle pratique avec passion, est l’un de ces thèmes favoris « pour sa dynamique et l’esprit de liberté qu’il évoque ». 

Depuis 2 ans, c’est en Guadeloupe qu’elle a posé ces valises.

Son travail est exposé en France mais aussi au Brésil, où elle a été invitée en Novembre dernier au Festival International de la Culture Surf à Sao Paulo et à Rio de Janiero et aux Etats-Unis, où une exposition lui est consacrée tout l’été à l’International Surfing Museum of Huntington Beach, en Californie.
